First time user, just unboxing, any obvious tips and advice

I may be starting my introduction to the device the hard way, but i have found the profile for a U King ZQ01424 RGBW Par can and despite it being loaded and my par can being set to dmx address 001, hard wired to the fixture from the dongle, im using an android tablet and i cant get any access to the light.
